  1. I was thinking mid 80's when I saw the bike. The freewheel is busted, and the brakes need work. The front brake dissapeared sometime in its life. It has a gyro, but I'm not sure if that was OG equipment. The neck looks to support a rotor.
  2. I found it for $65. He wanted $100 for it, but I managed to talk him down a bit because of the condition. Was it worth it??? Click the thumbnail for a bigger pic The grips have a signature on them, but I cant make it out
  3. I have a black chrome and orange schwinn predator. Rides nice for a step up from the basic package. It even has colorful tidbits!
  4. I like how smooth that silver looks. What a gorgeous project, and with the afformentioned parts, it will be even better! As for as awesomeness and correctness goes, your 85 PK blows my brownie out of the oven.......
  5. I may have to give the wheels another dip and let them sit for a while. I didn't get a ton of time to dye them, and the brake pads wore through the color a bit. The powder on the bars is a little thick, and some got sprayed where the neck clamps, so the bars slip a bit. I'll just have to file it back to steel, clean out the grooves, then put a protective coat of something on there... I'm glad to be back, I have been off OS for too long! I gotta have my BMX fix!
  6. I have no use for the frame pad. Its a california lite. I think I have a vbar pad too, as well as a straight one. PM me if you want it, I don't know what to ask for it..... Next time I go to Seward, I will clean up the bike and take some new pictures, cause it looks dirge right now.......
  7. I thought I'd post up a pic. I got the original spindle back in the cranks, so it doesn't knock the dropout anymore. I'm going to take it out for some good hard rides this summer! I will learn to wheelie if its the last thing I do! Theres a bmx park right in Seward that I can bike to and watch people before I try.
  8. Ok, I added pics of the bike, was it a good score? Shinburger, I am unsure of whether I can make it for Elysian this year. I have nowhere to stay, plus, I'd like to save up some money. I don't have a new bike project to bring with me either...... :o
  9. It rides like a dream too. When you sit and ride it, it feels like you're gonna kick your chest with your knees as you pedal. This bike is a classic Alaskan "perfect under dirt" bike. Rub off the dirt, and you have a nice looking bike. I think with new grips, it would look tops!
  10. I cant make it this year sadly. I have no one to stay with this time, and I need to save money. Maybe next year.....
  11. I wish I could go this year, but my California Hookup broke up with me, and now I have nowhere to stay or anyone to stay with if I were to attend. I hope y'all keep throwing this event, because I had fun when I went previous years!
  12. Hey everyone! I was browsing around the thrift stores again, and stumbled across an Old Skool bike. Its all blue, and its made by Scorpion. The bike is in fabulous original condition, and it was ridden a lot BiTD. I even got a full face helmet to go with it. I'll get pics of this bike up soon, as I am going to Seward where I have it stored this weekend. The paint is relatively unchipped, which I find to be a bit amazing, considering the brake wear on the rims. It has Dia Compe MX brakes that are the same style as the old Weinmann calipers used on old Schwinns. It's Kashimax Aero seat is really nice with no scuffs, and it has a blue ACS neck. Pictures will tell more words that I can type about it.......... EDIT! Ok, I took pics of it! I havent cleaned it yet, but I show some spots where I cleaned off the dirt...... And here is a link to the Gallery when its public!
  13. I couldn't really say I have anything thats good for bike of the year, seems like everyone like original, "resored original" or something with seemingly millions of dollars of parts. I'd pick the quad or the pk, or maybe take a pic of some old skool huffy banana seat bmx action!
  14. LOLOL! Thanks! That video made me laugh so hard when I finished it and watched it. I had to try several times to get the voices right, little giggles and messups kept getting me. It was so fun to make. I have a whole bunch more on Youtube.com, just look up my username Archinto there. All my videos are also on a site called BZPower. It's laid out like this site forumwise, and I have thread there with the whole story, and another with all my movie models. Bionicles kick ass almost as much as old bikes....
  15. Wonderful to hear that Rick is getting better! Y'all had me worried there for a lil bit! Get well soon my friend, I hope to see ya at Elysian again!
