Yes, that is a great resource for Skyway info. A very cool site for sure. -
What kind of hub is this?
oldschooldude replied to oldschooldude's topic in Riding, Research & Collecting
These were on ebay and I was gonna snag em but they looked to be both rear mags. I had never seen hubs like these before and thought of a sidehack as well. The owner has no idea what these were on. Both sides are identical on both mags from the owners pics. -
Anyone know what this type of hub is used for. Looks like it has large needle bearings in it.

That's a nice moose goose! Nice color combo too.

Saved from the scrap pile.

I'm not looking to sell them at this time, thanks for askin though. It never hurts to ask. Not sure if they are cruisers or what. They look like they've been on this bike for 30 years though. The arayas have '82 stamped Mallard made in france hubs with the rear having both sides threaded. Can't find any info on these. -
Saved from the scrap pile.

I just measured them in at 26.5 inches wide. I got most of the rust off and there are no markings. -

Yeah it has shimano dx's, arayas, og seat, og ss seat post, stamped post clamp, stamped 44t chain wheel. I aired up the tires and rode it for while. This one will be fun. -
I saved this from the scrap pile a while back. I know it isn't a rare piece or anything but it's rare in my small town. I cleaned up the spray bomb job to find this is og black that needs to be redone and nice nickel pinch forks. It has Og tires, tubes match the tires and hold air. Hope to score some motomags in the future to finish the look. Just thought I'd share.
