  1. I have pretty much got everything I started out for. The most elusive have been nos red Hutch aluminum hubs or a set that is in great used condition. I have missed out one time being the second highest bidder on a set, but second doesn't cut it. I will always be on the lookout for red Judges and Trick Stars. Also a real Pro Star frame and fork or complete bike would be nice if the opportunity ever arose. Always looking out for first gen Bullseye cranks, Comp IV black 20 x 1.50 and comp ramp tires. Oh yeah, Asahi chrome double butted spokes and a red Aerospeed disc. All of these items original finish of course. All of these items keep me in the game. One day...
  2. To add to the timeline of the 1st gens, I am almost certain that UPS delivered my first gen 184's on March 4th, 1985 on my brother's birthday. I remember seeing the ads and reading the weight specs bitd. If it was not in 85 then it was March 4th, 1986, no later. After thinking and rehashing everything I still think it was in 85. I will find out once I see the photo albums at my Dad's house of my brothers skating party that we went to that evening after school. I'll update this after I find out. In fact I remember taking the cranks to my 8th grade metal shop class and sandblasting the powder off so I could repaint them. That was in spring of 85. Now I cant remember if I had a metal shop class in 9th grade high school. I dont think so. The photo albums will get to the bottom of this. Man, I'm about to just drive the thirty minutes to his house and get to the bottom of this!
  3. Pr200, how long is the spindle? All the BMX 1st gen spindle lengths that I have measure about 5 3/4 inches long. I had a set of Mountain bike versions and the spindle was like an inch or more longer if I remember right.
  4. Yep, those are the correct bearings and that syle is a lot more free rolling than the other Bullseye bottom bracket bearings.
  5. Unfortunately that bottom bracket wont work because the bearings are the wrong size. The Bullseye crank spindle is too large in diameter for the bearings.
  6. It is a good question. I am a first gen whore because of how light they are. There is no substitute in weight with the first gens as long as you could live with the quirks which I did with no problem even to this day. Bitd UPS delivered my black powdered first gen 184's on March 4th 1985. I remember the date because I got home from school and the package was there and my Mom was yelling at me that we had to go straight to my younger brother's birthday party at Rollerland West. Lol. I rememeber that I opened the box in the car on the way and being beyond stoked on how light they were compared to the Sugino Chromoly CT 175's on my Pro Racer which I transfered from my Formula One. I would would like to know when or what year Bullseye switched to the Gen 2 version and finally to the Gen 3. That is a nice set of cranks you have there for being the later generations. It would be interesting to know how long the spindle is because I unknowingly bought a set that was for a mountain or road bike and the spindle was longer than normal.
  7. I ran early Hutch Pro but after breaking two sets I switched to GT for a month or two. My friend bought some Redline U-bend Forklifter bars and I had to have them. So I rode with those for years. Today they are still what I maainly ride with. Bullet proof
  8. Definately Magnesium hub shells with ti axels. Nice score..
  9. That is killer, cant wait to see it in the sun too. Nice set.
  10. Right now for me it is original mint or nos red Hutch aluminum hubs. Before that it was a blue deep H stem but finally got that earlier this year. Caandy red Judges can be tricky and have a way of slipping through your hands. Also chrome Asahi double butted spokes seem to be hard to get, I'm still looking for a nice set. Another hard one which I only have one of is a black nos 20 x 1.50 Comp IV tire with green blue label.
  11. Wow, you don't see a lot of those parts everyday.
  12. Maybe I'm mistaken, I know it had ti spokes. Maybe a ti chain too.
  13. Didn't the world's lightest bike build up article in BMX Plus have a ti chain?
