  1. Ill have to see if i can get skinnier cones or lock nuts. HEck......my LBS just about laughs me right out the door every time i go in there looking for an older part for a bmx bike. They just dont get it..... They would rather try and sell me a new bike than look in the old stock for somthing i need....heheh
  2. I thought that might be the case as well but i sure cant pull the forks apart to fit the hub in properly. They are solid. I tried ANy trick to getting them to fit aside from finding a different set?
  3. how many different hub spacings are there? I have an old set of black z-rims with ACS hubs. With the cones in and the locknuts against them they measure 104mm. The dyno forks i have measure in at 96mm or so. THere is no way to open the fork up more to slide the axle in. IM wondering if they are newer rims than my dyno fork or somthing. The forks ive tried are around mid to late 80s compes / detours (with the slight forward bend). THe ACS hubs have to be from the same era Any ideas? Maybe a different (shorter) cone nut on the axel or skinnier lock nut if that is possible? I dont know if ACS made wider than standard hubs bitd or not..... Id sure like to see these fit the bike though. If i took the lock nuts off the cone nuts the wheel will fit. I measured my Araya hub that i have and it seems to measure about 100mm or just below. These fit.....just not the ACS set. hmm.... i show my hubs on these rims to be ACS hubs. The only thing they say is ACS 6 90 Made in Thailand. They measure 86mm accross and 104mm with the cones and lock nuts in place where the drop outs would sit. Every other wheelset i have around here measures around 76mm across. I wonder what these are suppose to fit? Anyway....im getting ticked because im sure they wont go on my dyno build with my front forks being less than that. I could pull the cones out and see if the lbs has any shorter cones i guess.....maybe that is the ticket? No clue why these would be different than any other rims unless these hubs are newer / older than the era of the bike im trying to put them on perhaps........
  4. sorry..i was just hoping that someone that had talked to him would see it and contact me. Lesson learned
  5. looking for Radmeon. I sent him some decals to get repo'ed that he wanted almost a year ago now but i havent heard from him on the return of the orginals and im ready with my pro compe. IM starting to get the feeling im screwed....
  6. Thanks guys..i passed it up. I want a real hutch I just have too many hobbies to afford one any time soon. Im looking for a real score. IM always hunting....
  7. Thanks for the replies! I wasnt sure if it was a raider or racer. Im thinking if it is a raider ill let it go. Its quite a drive for me and i dont care much for the low end bikes. Id rather save my money and get a trick star or racer. Someday.....
  8. found this locally here and wondering what it is? I cant tell from the pics i have if it is a pro racer, pro raider, or....?? The stem doenst have the H.......i can tell that much and the hubs do not have the hutch sticker.... I want to go grab it but it is a haul for me to get there The rear plate is stamped and drilled....and the front fork has the brake mount hole.... hmm....
  9. this should clean up really well...... It is in great shape. All original from whati can tell accept for the pedals. It is the one from CL......it is a great addtion to my small but growing collection. Ill try and post some better pics when i get time. I probably wont part with it right away. I have just the spot in my living room for it It looks alot like a hutch pro racer with the way the rear tubes come down and around....the rear dropouts. Are panda and hutch related? Just curious.... The guy i bought it from was the original owner and had some great stories about the bike. I told him i would do my best to get him some pics once i was done with it...
  10. just scored this baby tonight. Paid a good price for it but it is in nice shape....
  11. I actually watched that exact bike the week before on ebay. It went up over 200 bucks...maybe even 250 so i gave up watching it. About 2 days later there it was with 0 bids again and 2 days time left on it. I wonder if the bidders backed out or maybe the seller? Who knows........nice score though. I was leary of bidding due to the fact that it looked suspcisous after that ..and i didnt want to take the chance. Did you get it yet?
  12. how different are the geometrys of the 600a, 500a, and 102b? IM trying to remember which bike it was a would always see around town. any big differences in them that you remember?
  13. anyone ever have a Redline 600a? I remember that sunburst redline sticker setup on a few Redlines bitd on a few bikes around that the neighborhood kids had. Im wondering if the 600a was the only redline model those were run on? Anyone have a 600a.....? and how did it ride? I always wanted one....
  14. I aquired a set of old dyno pretzel handlebars a while ago. Most if not all bars i have ever seen have that ribbed section where the neck clamps on. These do not.....they are just smooth. IS that normal? I wouldnt think they would hold well at all....
