  1. Hello....its been a long time, but I finally am getting back to the bikes. I'm b.cal's cousin and we now live pretty close so seeing his collection is getting me fired up. I have a complete bike I acquired about 2 years ago and it has a lot of decent early 80's parts and is in great shape. The stickers on it are Sekai, but the pads actually say Norco; but both the pads & stickers say Spitfire Turbo. I have researched on & off and as of late I found one article that said that Norco (of Canada) imported Sekai bicycles (of Japan) back in the late 70's/early 80's, but rebranded them as their own. I found a Norco magazine from the 80's with nearly the same bike in one of the pictures, but it had Norco stickers on it. If anybody has some input, I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Rick
  2. I had to cheat and use a seat clamp off of my daughter's old bike for now, but otherwise its back to running condition. The crank/sprocket is slightly bent, but I should be able to fix that easily enough. The bars have slight pitting, but cleaned up nicely. The frame has more chips & scrapes than what shows in the pix, but as I said, the pearlized white is kinda cool so I left it alone for now. Here is a link to some pix of it: http://webpages.charter.net/rcalcaterra/85Predator/
  3. As my cousin (b.cal) posted, I scored a Predator a couple weeks ago. I just reassembled it tonight after repacking all the bearings throughout the bike. Mine is actually a 1985 model and has what appears to be the original mag wheels after researching on the web and finding others with the same Red Dragon wheels. They are basically knockoffs of the Tuff II's and do have a Suntour freewheel and center metal hub. The frame is scratched up a bit, but its the original pearl white paint job that looks nice against all the "pink" bling (which is basically faded to a lavender that is more subtle!). I ordered an NOS seat that should be here this week and I will shoot some pix by the weekend and post them. Let me know if you have any ?'s Rick
