  1. Looks like a stamped 12-84 on the beginning serial.. FS for freestyle.
  2. Since you've been told to throw away the rest of the parts i'll take the early 80's GT laidback seatpost...probably worth $50 or so...but since youre throwing it away?.
  3. ??????? Mine came with a girder fork. and yet the frame has no dings on it either. I think that has more to do with how it was used than how it came equipped. As to why it didin't sell? Maybe the BIN price or maybe Matthews mono's aren't the flavor of the month anymore. Though I can't see why. I had a few offers on it, Mono Shocks are getting popular, it sold for $300 with wheelset. Auction was cancelled with no bids after payment was received. Nuff said.
  4. Sounds like you got the right info on it from Jim..I may be getting some early NOS JMC decals from a guy that has a box of them..might be some Standard types in it...i'll let you know.
  5. That's an '82 mini I sold a while back when I was clearing out some projects ..nice Socal survivor frame though, no cracks, needs some TLC with paint and decals.
  6. The bars look like prolines...if your looking to trade let me know.
  7. Had it leaning up against a fence at Long Beach Cycle Swap...lotsa bikes out there today. Here's the serial number on it 119436.
  8. 1979 Robinson "Stolen" at Long Beach Ca. Cycle Swap 2/25..if you see this bike any info would be appreciated, Robinson white frame/fork, white RRP pads and blue parts.. Thanks, Darrin. darrinstout@earthlink.net
  9. '80-'82 had a flat rear brake bracket...'83 had a new round rear brake bracket, that one looks round in the pic? forks were also beefier tubing in '83 as well..nice bike there.
  10. Here's some faceguards I had a while back, sold some of it...still have some.
  11. That was a big thing to do in '79-80..worked pretty good as long as you kept the thing working smooth and adjusted it regularly...never saw one that was factory drilled, don't know why you would when it was so easy to do the mod yourself.
  12. Seemed like a good idea at the time, put an SE in every kid's house in America for under $200, although you have to play by the big boy rules and wait for them to throw you a "production" bone when they can , hard to beef up your output under those terms .....
  13. From what I remember or read somewhere Will and Mike Scurto's dad branched off and did Pro Neck (Bulldog logo)... After Tuff Neck was on the scene a few years earlier (China Company, hence the tiger stamp probably). I think the Scurto's were part of Tuff Necks import distribution line but parted ways and started Pro-Neck in the U.S. not for sure on exact details though..1979-80 ish.
  14. Early 1979 JMC "Long" Frame oval gusset, large BB / '79 Blade Fork... anyone have any more pics of this model. Harry Leary's..
