Not sure if it's og finish or not I bought the frame just like this I was told it was nos but like you I have never seen an orange elf this year

1997 Elf AXL I Built this bike with a bunch of rare parts Heres my parts list: 1997 Elf AXL Brand X titanium forks Brand X Pro XXL stem Brand X titanium Seat Post with odyssey micro adjust seat clamp Brand X dropout savers Chris King Headset Elf Aluminum Blast Bars Jad 175mm Drilled Back Cranks with Jad spider and Had Bearing cups Crupi Pro Square Pedals Carbon Fiber Seat Clamp Shimano LX brakes and Lever Odyssey Seat Spin CR175 rims This Bike is in Near mint condition i may plan on changing a coupe parts as of now its awesome

No not og paint had to get it repainted it was very used looking lol much nicer now the decals are original holeshot decals they were very hard to find

I'm not 100% sure why they weren't heat treated. I called Andy Currie the owner of Chip and Dale bmx only info he really gave me was that mine was indeed one of the 10 that were made they were breaking at the bottom of the seat tube top of the bb if you see other frames like this you will notice more bracing at that point also on mine there's not much bracing on the chainstay areas if i were to do a few 360 chances are I would bend or break the frames

This is #002 out of the first ten that were made the the ten holeshots were not heat treated and also had a 1" headtube most of them broke so this may be one of the only ones left of the first 10
