I have just finished polishing a very oxidized chrome and nickle mongoose frame. I was having a lot of problems getting rid of the dull look until I tried "MAAS" polishing cream, that I bought at Walmart. This is the best stuff I have ever used, it did take a lot of rubbing but the frame shines like it did back in 1980 when I bought it. I also used a very very light steel wool to go over the frame before I used the polishing cream to remove some of the heavy oxidation and I have not noticed any problems scratches. Hope this helps
