I was considering Tan or Candy Red, but that should sway your choice:

Just don't go with yellow. That looks nasty.

Plenty of options on those frames. My take is that Quads show light colors better than dark. Candy red would look great. Probably want different decals though. Maybe gold. There used to be a couple tan ones in my neck of the woods back in the day. One had blue parts and one had black. I personally liked the blue parts on the tan a little better. Both looked great though. I always liked white also. What other parts do you have planned? Keep us updated on the progress.

Yeah STR-1 or Moto's suggestion of Anodizing it. I'd personally clean it up a bit and leave it RAW and clearcoated with one of Kappa bars done the same way. :18:

I bought that bike in around '86 or so for 150.00 I think. Supposedly it was once Tan. I bought it from someone that was friends with the guy that had it chromed. I got it just as it is in the picture. I traded it for a car in '91. I never changed a thing on it. The guy I sold it to (same guy I got my DB-IV frame from) gave it to a friend of his. Supposedly he broke the frame and who knows what happened to it. I tried for a long time to track it down but sounds like it is gone gone. :(

One more suggestion out of me would be a candy blue with chrome parts. Not gold like you usually see but chrome. Can you see that? Polished aluminum parts  Best of luck deciding on a color. That is one of the toughest things for me. I go back and forth more than John Kerry on color choices. Keep us informed though.

PS: Remember you can only annodize aluminum

WOW lots of great suggestions.

STR-1 yup I've been thinking about for the last three months while I've been striping the paint off by hand. I wanted to make sure it was done properly.

I did originally think of chroming it at some serious cost, then I moved to candy red because I already have a big pot of it sitting on the bench, then tan....

Whatever I do choose you guys will be the first to see it!

Thanks all
