they came out late 1983 as a "1984" new product. I'm not sure how long they were around in their original shape til they got re-tooled with a slimmer nose.

ah... ok.  Might be useful to have photos with a full side view of what you are talking about. Or not. Maybe most people are more on top of the Viscount scene.

.Tried loading pics two different times. Where the small thumbnail of the pics usually loads, its just green check marks and post is blank when I hit submit. Here's an ebay link with pics.

The Viscount dyna (model #2169) is what the 1985-86 GT seats were based on. In 1987 GT used the Viscount DynaMax as the base seat.

That's my best guess for the production run. I don't know of any bikes that came with the "Dyna" stamped seat as OE equipment. I'd guess they were purely aftermarket.

Porkchop has been reproducing them for a while.

Right. I know they came out in 82. My question is how long were they offered? Dont really care that they werent "stock" on any complete. Just wondering how long were they available (before all the repop shit). I've already done thorough searching on the google box and seen all the useless meaningless threads. Cant come up with jack shit. Thanks.

I'm wondering if the DynaMax model was a replacement for the Dyna. If so then my best guess would be the GT seat transition from 86-87. Sorry that's the only tangible indicator that I can come up with. It would be interesting to check Rockville and other BMX shop price listings in the magazines to see if and when they offered it for sale. They all likely had a stockpile though so that would hardly be a reliable reference.

Brian, there seems to be yet another new problem. I can't upload photos either.

I actually started to text you with a pic of the green check marks and then work went off the rails for awhile.

RLP, thanks for the info. I need to do some digging. I did find the GT logo'd seats that you mentioned too.

Check this out. I just brought this nice old Predator Streetwise home tonight. Looks to be 100% original down to the predator tires. Maybe I was wrong about the dyna seat not being OE on any complete bikes.
