So a very good friend of mine got in to a bit of trouble two weeks ago and now is in need of some lawyer money (DUI) and has had this bike since new in 79 and I have been after for quite a wile. Well needless to say he called me out of the blue the week and we made a deal over the phone and he had a hard time leaving the house today. Any rate I now own this bad boy 1979 Blue Motomag. He changed a few things over the years but most of all every thing is OG. Are the bars Tuf neck? 56BC8055-9C7E-47D9-9C96-815F64AA10A8.jpeg 301AC4C1-613F-4C6D-90AC-0F1DDB5C5411.jpeg CC34BDA1-EC6F-44B9-BB50-6841FF021AA8.jpeg 811CEBB5-7612-4AB3-AA21-ED60911127B1.jpeg 96EE68C3-3C26-4B71-AE3E-42DE58F920CD.jpeg C736D68A-70CB-4720-AF0D-3758D320F801.jpeg B1D69E67-2296-41B2-BE2A-786FFDA2B647.jpeg DA235D54-603E-434E-88AA-B1163EAD5941.jpeg

That's a beauty. From what I can recall, there were fluted Tuf Neck handlebars around back in the day. But I don't know whether these are actually Tuf Neck's. In any case, awesome bike loaded with great parts.

Very cool bike.

Sucks your buddy had that misfortune. He can at least be glad it went to a good new home.

Cool bike. Story is both sad and happy.

TufNeck bars need a head on shot. They're pretty easy to spot due to the sharp angles. But there were lots of folks putting out bars, so likely something generic as something branded.

I’ll get a shot of them soon.
