I had to have my old race bike so I started to look for it back in 2010. This is the exact frame and set up i had back in 1997 except the Hanebrink forks. The frame and seat were the hardest to find. Found out that there were only about 250 of these frames made and were only offered as a frame only. The seat I found over 4 years of looking.
Parts
-'97 Gary Fisher Pro issue frame
-Hanebrink Forks
-Answer bars (black)
-chris King headset(Rasta colors)
-Profile stem
-Magura brake(hydraulic)
-Gary Fisher grips
-Gary Fisher seat
-Odyssey black widow pedals
-Odyssey black widow cranks(black)
-Odyssey black widow chain ring
-Spin wheels with og red decals
-Bullseye stem lock

👍

I don’t know much about GF. We’re they heavily involved in BMX? Did they have a factory team?

I have read somewhere that in 1997 Gary Fisher started a BMX team but that is all I have found so far.

I enjoy the sturdy yet trick appearance of this generation of racers and this Fisher has it.

Oh and the car (the reason for your site name I expect) is very cool.
