And the winner is:

OLD SCHOOL BMX 20 inch (1979 and earlier)

Winner: Reilley1 with the 1976-77 Profab

post-1103-0-81894800-1451284508.jpg

Congratulations to Reilley1... a very nice and rare bike, presented by someone who has been here since the beginning and STILL puts bikes together.  Nicely done, Rick.

Runner up was JT's Tommy Brackens Torker...  another old timer who is all in over the long haul.

Runner up: J.T.with the Tommy Brackens Torker Pro X Factory

SURVIVOR BMX BIKES (1995 & Earlier)

Rick and JT are both in it of the long haul... but the secret may be that "they are in it to be in it"... not to win it.  Something like that.  Thanks to both of you for being here.

Congratulations Rick!!! You are a huge inspiration to me!! Keep on keepin on!
That bike is state of the art full race machine with all the goodies! The most important piece to keep air in the tires is a nice touch!!

Thanks guys. It took me a bit to understand the air in the tires comment. :-) I don't know if they worked back in the day but they looked trick. Also, given the Arizona manufacture and the AZ thorn connection, I thought it would be a cool, if obscure, reference.

So many stellar builds it was a tough choice, but I fully get behind winner and runner up choices. Super nice stuff from dudes who know their shit, and do it for the love of it.

A well-deserved winner!! I went for the Brackens' Torker but there's no denying that the Profab's a stunning bike and build!
