1979 Webco Replica.  I came to this frame here on BMX Society through member, A_Falcs27. I used as many of the parts that came with the frame as I could. Baring one ebay purchase the rest of the parts used came from of my ever thinning parts stash.  I’ve always had a sentimental spot when it comes to Webco. The company headquarters was in my home town so I knew about them early in my experience.  In my quest to take some good pictures of this bike I went so far as to take all of the accompanying pics for my entry in front of 218 Main Street in Venice Ca. Webco’s former street address. The location is currently occupied by a gallery selling vintage modern furniture and re purposed furniture as art. Enjoy!

I was in the middle of trading my silver GBoy f/f for a OM Flyer f/f. My friend Ernie found this GBoy on craigslist. I asked him what he was going to do with it, he says "I really want to get a OM Flyer". Thats how I picked it up.

This is how some kid last rode it. I only added the tires and grips. I have never seen another one with original painted girder fork.

1976 G Boy Frame

G Boy seat clamp(i was told)

1979 Mongoose Motomag

I couldn't pass up the opportunity to pick this bike up just a month or so ago. A complete survivor when I got it, but, I updated some bent/damaged parts so felt it belonged in this category. All that I did replace was the seat and seatpost, bars, pedals and swapped some pads. Other than that, this is how this bike showed up.

Dec 79 Motomag frame. Original black paint, decals and bike shop sticker.

Tange TX1200 forks. Remarkable chrome still. 79 dated.

Unstamped Tuff 1's with Bendix 76 coaster.

Cycle Pro snakebellies. 2.125's front and rear.

Ashtubula cranks. 1979 dated.

Takagi MX 42T front chainwheel.

Nickel DID chain.

KKT B-MX's. (Replaced MKS BM-5s missing endcaps)

Sugino doublehump stem. Super nice.

RaceInc bars. (Replaced OG bars that had bad peeling paint)

Elina 5/78 stamped seat (Replaced torn padded seat)

Mongoose frame pad (OG pad had no foam)

Not great pics, if I can get some with less glare, I'll replace some.

Mossberg MX bicycles were manufactured from '73-'76?. This one was found complete a few years ago in FL. Original black finish and decals. It has a truss rod fork with Mossberg's signature steel "M" welded on the front. Another interesting feature that Mossberg provided to prevent loss/theft was their Bicycle I.D. System. My understanding is that you'd have to mail a card to Mossberg, then they'd send you a personally monogrammed I.D. plate to mount on to the downtube. Initially, the bike was found with a 10-speed saddle which I replaced with a nice deep tufted MX seat and black sissy bar. The 2.125" Carlisle MX 200 tires and WIN double clamp stem are original to the bike. The original bike shop sticker is still there, but with a small piece of the sticker torn off. I did a quick search and found that this bike originally came from "Star Bike Shop", established in 1972 and is still in business today in Savannah, GA.

1974 Murphy & Littlejohn - This frame was found at a swap meet in L.A., then listed for sale online shortly after. It had one bb cup and one headset cup, which I left on the frame. I was told that there was also a rear wheel with it, but I was never able to track it down.

Frame: M&L with original paint & decals. Head tube decal reads "M&L Racing Frame". Down tube has a M&L checkered flag logo followed by the name "SPRINT-4". 14 inch frame pad and Schwinn seat clamp.

Fork: forged MX reinforced fork looks to be Ashtabula, but with a straight-cut drop out.

Stem: Ashtabula

Moto bars: approx. 30.5 inches wide with welded shim and non-pinched crossbar. 12 inch vinyl snap pad and MX waffle grips.

Seat: Taihei quilted, black vinyl with metal tabs

Crank set: Takagi MX crank 160mm, Wald sprocket 40t, KKT rat traps.

Wheels: Motomags with Bendix 70, Traveler Super MX front tire & Cheng Shin rear, both 2.125".
