In the back of my brain, a little ways down on the "to-do" list, I want to do a 24 with a Shimano 3-speed internal hub. That's my plan. I've patented it, so don't try to steal it. If you've already done it, I'll let you slide, but only for information on how to pull it off well. :)

There was the Huffy someone just posted recently -- The Pro Thunder Z-2. It basically had a front derailleur set up like the typical 10-speed of the day.

Bendix kick-back hubs. I just scored a blue-stripe 36 hole kick-back. I'm going to put it on something old... :Idunno:

Wow! I thought I was familiar with most of your bikes but I never realized how "geared up" they were! Amazing!

Rick that Supercoss is pretty awesome and have always thought the Green Schwinn with the lever shifted S/A hub was hot.

Profile also had a 3 speed system in the late 90's.

Like one of these Patrick? This is the 3 speed set up on my '95 OM. It's a very old Regina 3 speed freewheel. With a Paul derailleur. Shifts like buttah!

I have wanted to do the same thing. I like it to be similar to my race cruiser except a 3 speed set to allow me to climb mountains a bit better. I have looked at sturmey-archer 3 speed products. They have quite a selection of hubs and shifters.
